Meet my friend Amanda (or as I know her – Mandee). We meet … hmmmm … SEVERAL years ago at Texas Tech University. We were sorority sisters and friends throughout college then as most people do - we drifted apart after graduation. About 5 years ago we reconnected and I discovered that she had launched this ‘little jewelry company‘. Well that ‘little company’ has become a BIG name here in Dallas as well as throughout the rest of the country. Amanda Sterett jewelry is stylish, unique, handcrafted and just perfect. I have more of her pieces than I’d like to admit – I simply love everything that comes out of her design studio (in fact the earrings on my ABOUT page are Amanda Sterett) Last Fall I worked with Mandee on photographing all of her Spring Collection. Quite a task that was as there were over 200 pieces to photograph. After wrapping that we decided to do a fun little HAPPY NEW YEAR photo shoot for her and the great girls that work with her. (and how could we leave her sweet daughter OLIVIA out of the mix?) Here are a few of my favorite shots from that session. (OH and I have to show off some of her jewels below).

colorful and fun fall family photography session

Probably one of my favorite family sessions of the fall! I know I feel like I say that alot – but somehow everything about this just worked! The weather was perfect, the light was ideal, the leaves on the trees were just the right color (they literally all dropped 5 days later), the family was easy and beautiful and those kids… come on…how darling are they?? Meet the HUGHES Family. They were looking for ‘that impossible family photo’ and wow was it easy. I was thrilled that we were able to find a spot with all of these warm tones as now that these images are hanging in the Hughes Home – they go perfectly with their existing interior color tones.

Where do I even start with these cute kids – Meghan (9) & Logan(5). Seriously I could photograph them all day and I’m not certain I’ve ever seen a little boy have as much fun as Logan did on this shoot. Meghan – she’s a bit shy at first – but oh so sweet and totally loves her little brother. She’s a NATURAL in front of the camera (check out my fall sneak peek shot of her) and is into cheerleading, DANCE, singing and gymnastics. Logan – he is full of personality as you can see – his smile totally lights up a room. He loves soccer, tball and dinosaurs and LOVES to laugh!

Hughes Family – I had a blast with you all and I hope you continue to enjoy your portraits for years and years to come!

I feel like I should officially reintroduce myself to my blog. WOW it’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post. I’m sorting through all the wonderful sessions I had this fall and I just have to take a few minutes to share a few.

This first session was a new one for me. Typically I have kids or teens in front of my camera – but having Real Estate mogul – BECKY FREY – was a refreshing treat! Not only was she so unbelievably at ease in front of the camera – but I also had the opportunity to photograph her in one of her AMAZING listings (Check it out HERE). I secretly wanted to sneak a suitcase in there and move in – wouldn’t you!?

Becky is THE ‘ IT ‘ girl when it comes to real estate in Dallas. She’s been in business since the early 80s and has roughly closed over $400,000,000 in sales. Small change right?
