Yep – things are busy around here – thus my poor neglected blog. I’ve promised myself to show off some of the amazing families I’ve had the chance to work with this fall and so here is my first day of living up to it!These are the adorable boys of my sweet friend Kim. I couldn’t have asked for a better back drop for their session – right inside the comfort of their home. The home was of course amazing, the light was perfect and the boys were even better than they should have been. We simply went from one room to the next shooting and playing and then before I knew it we were done. Here are just a few from our time together…

colorful, happy & thoughtful teen sibling session

Possibly one of my most favorite sibling/family sessions to date. Not only because their images turned out so great – but mainly because of how this shoot evolved. Earlier this spring I was contacted by Madeleine (the older sister). She wanted to talk with me about booking a photo session to SURPRISE HER PARENTS for their upcoming anniversary! First I was floored… I mean – really how thoughtful is that!?! She said their last set of family photos was when her little sister was just a baby. So as you can see – these were well overdue and I was more than happy to help. The trick is getting all 4 kids out of the house at a photo shoot with out Mom & Dad expecting a thing. Not sure how they did it but they pulled it off. We shot fast at the beginning b/c the boys had to get to a sports game and so when they left of course – myself and the girls had a bit of extra shooting time…I don’t think they minded When their parents anniversary rolled around – I prepped them with a large print nicely packaged and the link to their online slideshow. The rest is well… Happy Tears! Love Love Loved – the thought behind the shoot, the sweet genuine energy of these kids, the boundless love for their siblings and more importantly parents. beautiful nature filled session with gorgeous teen headed off to high school

This teen age stage has got to be one of my favorites to photograph! Meet Eliza! We did her session earlier this year as she graduated from 8th grade and prepped for heading to HIGH SCHOOL! Wow – do I remember that transition – so fun, so scary and so pivotal. She was a total natural in front of the camera – so unbelievably sweet and of course so photogenic! Eliza – I hope HS is treating you well – I’m sure you will love every moment of this new time in your life!

Summertime family session at White Rock Lake with the Karlisch Family!

Wow – I almost forgot how to even do a BLOG POST!! With this new little one on the way – my mind has been a bit elsewhere and on top of the fact that this summer has been BUSY. Finally getting around to showing off some of the folks I’ve had the pleasure of working with since Springtime.

First up – the infamous KARLISCH FAMILY. For those of you hiding under a rock who don’t know who Stephen Karlisch is….let me just send you HERE and HERE. Amazing right? Not only is he an uber talented photographer but he’s funny as all get out and he’s been so helpful to me during these past few years. His wife Kristen is also a pretty amazing person, photographer, business woman and Pilates queen! And well their girls – (Bella & McKenna) are just too adorable for words. Full of personality, spunk and energy.

All that said when they asked me to photograph their family you can imagine that I completely freaked out. Talk about the pressure right? Well they were all so great and thank goodness we headed out to White Rock earlier in the spring before all of this mosquito craziness hit! I hope I caught just a bit of their ‘amazingness’ in these images…they truly are the greatest.

PS – if you are getting married in the near future (doesn’t matter where – Stephen pretty much goes everywhere)….CONTACT HIM – he’s simply the greatest there is!

Things sure are booking up for Fall 2012. If you haven’t booked your child, HS Senior or family session yet please CONTACT ME. I’m only shooting 3 sessions MAX a week so my schedule will be more limited than last year.
